These are just some of the treasures of Turkey; a land of infinite variety.

It is a land fought over and possessed by many of the great European and Asian civilisations - Greeks, Romans, Persians, Hittites, Selçuks and, more recently, the great Ottoman Empire. The remains of these ancient empires are Turkey's great heritage as are the unique geology of places such as Cappadocia, with its astonishing lunar landscapes, the lush, green deltas of Dalyan and the magnificent mountain ranges that stretch along the South West coastline.

But it is also a country that has embraced the best of contemporary life. In its cities, old and new, East and West come together to create an intoxicating mood, quite unlike anywhere else.

The vast coastline offers wonderful opportunities for watersports enthusiasts or, for the less energetic, the unforgettable experience of travelling by gulet along the glorious Turquoise Coast.
