DIFFERENT TRAVEL - MAKE A DIFFERENCE BROCHURE

As our name suggests, we are a travel company with a difference! We are a small group, responsible, volunteer travel company for people from all over the world looking to combine the comfort and relaxation of a high quality holiday with opportunities to assist environmental, humanitarian, sustainable and conservation development programmes in the host country run by local people, for local people, for a more authentic, meaningful and ethical travel experience.

We believe that our holidays offer people a real opportunity to experience, learn and contribute. We believe that our holidays not only make a difference to the communities we visit, but also make a difference to the people who travel with us.

The projects we offer vary from country to country, but we always make sure they are designed to meet the needs of the communities we work with, and offer our travellers a rewarding experience that a normal holiday would not give.

And because volunteering need not mean roughing it, all accommodation is in 3 star hotels or above, all locally-owned where hotel staff are respected and paid a fair wage and where the impact of tourism on the environment is carefully considered to ensure all our holidays are carbon neutral.

We have been shortlisted by Yahoo for their ‘Finds of the Year 2007' award!
Essentially, it means that, our site is “one of 40 of the most creative, innovative and amusing sites within the UK”
We're actually in the ethical category (as opposed to travel) and would love to see an ethical travel site win this year!
The panel of judges will determine the winners for each category but there is a People's Choice Award too - voted out of all nominees by the public until mid Jan.
