Mid Wales My Way, produced by Powys County Council, is a destination brochure inviting visitors to discover a region of incredible natural beauty, wildlife, cultural heritage, national trails, festivals, fabulous food and delightfully individual spa and market towns. It presents Mid Wales as a destination for all seasons.
Mid Wales My Way showcases an abundance of walking routes to suit every ability, from challenging National Trails to gentle lakeside, river and woodland rambles.
The brochure highlights cycling and water-based activities across the region. On two wheels, riders can tackle the climb to Hay Bluff, one of the highest mountain roads in Wales, follow the 86-mile Radnor Ring, or join the Lon Cambria and Lon Las Cymru National Cycling Trails.
For the more adventurous, the brochure features gliding, zip wires, climbing, high rope challenges and caving. Mid Wales also boasts an enviable arts scene, with festivals including Hay Literary Festival, Brecon Jazz, Gregynog, Green Man and Machynlleth Comedy. Llanwrtyd Wells, the smallest town in Britain, hosts the World Bog Snorkelling championships, the Real Ale Ramble and the World Alternative Games. Accommodation ranges from spa hotels and cosy b&bs to cottages, camping and glamping.
The brochure features two National Trails, Glyndwr's Way and Offa's Dyke Path, along with The Beacons Way and the scenic Kerry Ridgeway, plus gentler lakeside, river and woodland routes.
