Himalayan Kingdoms Brochure

Himalayan Kingdoms are the leading operators of trekking holidays in the world's greatest mountain range, having pioneered many routes through isolated regions that remained hidden, along with their peoples, from the outside world until recent years.

Where the Treks Go

The Himalayan Kingdoms brochure features more than 60 treks across a remarkable range of destinations, offering holidays from 13 to 40 days in length.

  • Tibet
  • The kingdoms of Nepal, Bhutan and Sikkim
  • Ladakh, the Karakoram and Chitral
  • Northern India
  • Thailand and Laos
  • Vietnam
  • Outer Mongolia and Central Asia

Treks for All Ages and Abilities

All treks are carefully graded to cater for every age and level of fitness, with walking undertaken at one's own pace. Each is led by an experienced European leader or by English-speaking Sherpas or local guides. The maximum group size is 12 plus leader, and there are no surcharges, even when fewer than 10 clients join a trek.

More than 30 per cent of those who book with Himalayan Kingdoms are over 50, and one 73-year-old woman recently joined a trek to K2.

Travelling in Comfort

On trek, the main baggage is carried by porters, horses, mules or yaks, so the trekker need only carry a light day sack. Sherpas or local staff also handle the erection of tents and the cooking along the way.
