The Hanseatic town of King's Lynn is brim full of maritime heritage and outstanding historic buildings. Characterised by its two historic market places and two guildhalls, its grand buildings and merchants' houses and magnificent King's Lynn Minster, it is a fascinating place to explore, with courtyards and cobbled lanes stretching down towards the River Great Ouse. As evening approaches, some of the town's most prominent historic buildings light up as part of Lynn Lumière, a collection of six animated light shows projected onto great buildings such as King's Lynn Minster, The Custom House and St Nicholas' Chapel.
