THE CITY OF NEWPORT AND CAERLEON BROCHURE
Newport and Caerleon in Southern Wales are just off the M4, and the City of Newport accessible by intercity rail. You may be surprised as to what there is to do there. Their key 'National Trust' historic House and gardens, Tredegar house is a firm favourite, along with the City's Museum. The Roman Fortress Town of Caerleon is a pretty riverside village, where you can see the amphitheatre that used to seat 5000 and stroll around the Roman baths and Museum, as well as take your pick of Pubs and eating places. For those who like the outdoors they have a choice of walks including their new Wales Coast Path. This can be started from the RSPB's flagship Newport Wetlands centre where year round bird life and flora are fascinating.
