West Norfolk is a truly special place of unspoilt charm and natural beauty. Renowned for its superb coastline, much of it an 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty', the area is also brim full of heritage, charming villages and beautiful countryside. Once discovered, you'll want to come back again and again.

Much of West Norfolk is characterised by wonderful rolling countryside, full of fascinating and attractive villages, where cottages built of flint or Norfolk carrstone cluster around ancient village ponds or village greens. This magical landscape, dotted with church spires and windmills is a wonderful tapestry of rural England at its best. Along with famous sites such as Sandringham House a host of other historic houses, abbeys and a magnificent castle are great to visit.

The Hanseatic town of King's Lynn is brim full of maritime heritage and outstanding historic buildings. Characterised by its two historic market places and two guildhalls, its grand buildings and merchants houses and magnificent King's Lynn Minster, it is a fascinating place to explore with lots of courtyards and cobbled lanes stretching down towards the River Great Ouse. Combined with its bustling shopping centre, and great entertainment venues it is a great place to visit.

To the south of King's Lynn, the mysterious and magical Fens provide a sheer sense of space, vast skies, wildlife and total tranquillity which are not to be missed. The ancient town of Downham Market is also an excellent base from which to explore the countryside, a haven for lovers of wildlife, peace and tranquillity.

West Norfolk is a great place to enjoy the sand and sea. You'll find magnificent stretches of superb sandy beaches, with plenty of space to relax, play games and enjoy the coast. The classic resort of Hunstanton, offers a wonderful mix of Victorian charm coupled with all the traditional opportunities for seaside fun and excitement. Renowned for its unusual striped cliffs, excellent beach and stunning sunsets it also provides excellent conditions for water sports. Along with neighbouring Old Hunstanton, it is a great base for enjoying the wonderful coastline.
