POOLE TOURISM

Surf, rest & play in Poole

With a unique mixture of fascinating history, a bustling quay and stunning beaches including Sandbanks, Britain's best beach, a visit to Poole is a must in 2016. And the great news? Poole is only 2 hours away from London by train.

POOLE QUAY & HARBOUR
This provides a great base to just sit back and watch the visiting tall ships, luxury sunseekers and fishing vessels. Enjoy the views across the harbour or set sail for the National Trust's Brownsea Island. Why not sample some fine dining restaurants or something from the selection of top quality pubs and cafes both on and surrounding Poole Quay?

HISTORIC OLD TOWN
Poole is a town rich in history and has a beautiful Old Town to explore. Use the Cockle Trail leaflet available from Poole Tourist Information Centre, located in Poole Museum close to the Quayside. The free entry Museum tells the story of Poole's fascinating past over four floors of displays and galleries.
