Castaways, an independent family owned Travel Company, was established in 1970 and specialises in up-market and tailor-made holidays to Mallorca, Spain, Portugal, Madeira and France.
Our ‘Discover the real Mallorca’ brochure first appeared in 1979 and pioneered holidays to the lesser-known areas of the island. At that time, few holidaymakers ventured beyond the mainstream resorts. More recently, the Mallorcan Tourist Board awarded us with the coveted Bronze Plaque in recognition of our support for the island.
We have featured Madeira since 1988 with a range of carefully selected hotels and quintas. Castaways celebrated the Millennium by acquiring Unicorn Holidays and their noted programme ‘The Best of France, Spain & Portugal’ which majored on exclusive holidays to Character and Châteaux hotels, Paradores and Pousadas.
Now, in 2008– our 30th year of trading, we offer a selection of more than 300 diversified places to stay. Stay 2 or more nights, single centre, multi-centre, combine the islands with the mainland, departures from all UK airports, fly-drive or take your own car. You can just book accommodation only or the complete package – we are totally flexible and will create a holiday to your exact requirements.
Finally, be secure in the knowledge that we are members of ABTA (Association of British Travel Agent – Membership V6913) and are licensed by CAA (Civil Aviation Authority – ATOL 1140) and all our holidays are fully bonded.
